Antigua & Barbuda Gaming License (DOG)

Published: August 1, 2026Updated: July 7, 2026
Antigua & Barbuda (IGL/IWL)

The Antigua & Barbuda Gaming License is one of the oldest and most respected international jurisdictions in the offshore iGaming industry. The twin-island nation has been issuing remote gambling licenses since 1994. Unlike some entry-level Caribbean options, Antigua and Barbuda is positioned as a tier-1 premium jurisdiction with strict FATF-level anti-money laundering compliance and complete regulatory transparency. Licensing, technical auditing, and supervision are handled by the Directorate of Offshore Gaming, which is a specialized division of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC). Under local legislation, interactive gaming companies are legally classified and regulated as full-fledged financial institutions. The regulator strictly separates operational activities. If an operator wishes to offer both casino games and sports betting, they must obtain two distinct licenses: Interactive Gaming License: Covers traditional online casino games, video slots, table games, poker rooms, lotteries, and bingo Interactive Wagering License: Authorizes sports betting, esports betting, horse racing wagering, and fantasy sports.
