Curaçao eGaming License (CGA)

Published: August 1, 2026Updated: July 29, 2026
Curacao (CGA)

The Curaçao eGaming License is one of the most popular and cost-effective licenses for online gambling operators. Historically issued through master license holders, the jurisdiction is transitioning to a direct licensing model under the new LOK law, which aims to enhance compliance and reputation. It allows for a wide range of gaming activities including casinos, sports betting, and poker. The system now offers exactly two distinct license types: B2C License (Operator): For any platform interacting directly with players, managing player funds, and hosting games (Casino, Sportsbook, Poker, Lottery). A single B2C license covers all verticals simultaneously and B2B License (Supplier): For software developers, platform providers, game aggregators, or critical infrastructure providers.

Valid In

Globally, except in jurisdictions where online gambling is explicitly prohibited or where a local license is mandatory (e.g., USA, UK, Netherlands, France).

Not Valid In

Restricted markets such as the UK, USA, and certain EU countries require separate local licenses.

Recognition

Widely accepted in many emerging markets and by crypto-friendly payment processors, though some Tier-1 banks may view it as higher risk compared to MGA or UKGC.
